Welcome to the Union College Online Application

Instructions to Applicants for Admission

ALL APPLICANTS

Please use the following checklist to ensure that your application is complete and on time.
  1. Complete the online Application for Admission. When you are finished, click the SUBMIT button on the left column of any application screen.

  2. Print the submittal form that appears after you submit the application. Sign and return it with a nonrefundable application fee of $20 (check or money order) made payable to Union College. Please write your name and Social Security number on the check or money order. The application will not be processed until this fee is received.

  3. Arrange to have an official transcript of your completed high school work sent to the Admission Office. A final transcript should be sent at the completion of your senior year.

    TRANSFER APPLICANTS: an official transcript from each college attended MUST be sent to the Admission Office.

  4. The results from either the American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) should be sent on official score reports. The Union College code for the ACT is 1552 and for the SAT is 1825.

  5. A letter of acknowledgment will be sent to you along with a request for additional information if needed.




To all Applicants for Financial Aid

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority deadline of March 15, 2003. Please NOTE (Kentucky residents should place Union College in the top box in order to be considered for a Kentucky Tuition Grant).

  2. All applicants must forward complete, signed copies of their parents' and their own 2002 Federal Income Tax returns to the Financial Aid Office by March 15, 2003. [Priority deadline]

  3. The FAFSA form is available in all high school guidance offices. If you have trouble obtaining a FAFSA form please call the Union College Financial Aid Office.

  4. All applicants for financial aid MUST submit the Student Aid Report (SAR) to the Union College Financial Aid Office as quickly as possible to receive the maximum amount of funds available.

  5. ALL applicants for student financial aid must have submitted an application for admission and received notification of acceptance before a financial aid package will be awarded.

  6. All applicants transferring from another postsecondary institution to Union College MUST submit a financial aid transcript from each institution previously attended.

How To Use the Union College Online Application

To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the 'SUBMIT' button located on the left column to submit the application.
