Application Instructions

Please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen. Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit the application. Return it with a nonrefundable application fee of $30 to the address below. You can request a fee waiver from ACT, SAT, or the high school guidance counselor.

Students who apply for admission and who visit campus through the Office of Admissions before February 1st will receive an application fee waiver! Application fees paid prior to visiting will not be refunded or credited.

University of the Cumberlands is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097; telephone number (404) 679-4501) to award the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of General Studies, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Arts in Education degrees.

Students admitted to the university are subject to the university's rules and regulations. Some of these may be found in the university's catalog and in the Student Handbook which are available for review in the Admissions Office.

Application Directions

Our admissions application process varies, depending on whether you are a first-semester freshman, a reentering student, or a transfer student from another college or university. Application deadlines vary, depending on the scholarship or aid for which you apply. In many cases it will be necessary to complete additional forms and applications if you are applying for such aid.
