Complete this online application. Submit the application by using the 'SUBMIT' button located either on the left column or at the bottom of the last screen once you have completed all screens.
Submit the printed and signed application agreement statement along with the $40 nonrefundable application fee.
If you have previously attended WKU as an undergraduate student the application fee is not required.
Return the completed application to the address on the right.
Request all documents listed below your admissions level. Records submitted as supporting documentation for this application become the property of Western Kentucky University and cannot be returned.
Housing — A separate housing application is due by March 31, 2009 for priority consideration.
Scholarships — A separate application is due by January 15, 2009 for first-time freshman and by April 1, 2009 for community/junior college students transferring to WKU.
Beginning Freshman — A student who has not attended a college or university after high school graduation.
Records needed: An official high school transcript (no faxed transcripts accepted) and ACT or SAT scores
Transfer — A student who has attended one or more colleges or universities since high school graduation but has not attended WKU.
Records needed: An official transcript from each college attended. (No faxed transcripts accepted. Transcripts without the official seal or those marked unofficial cannot be used.) If you have fewer than 24 semester hours of college credit earned, you must also submit your high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores.
Nondegree Seeking — A student who is not seeking a degree from WKU.
Records needed: No records are needed.
Readmission — A student who has attended WKU since high school graduation.
Records needed: An official transcript from each college attended, other than WKU.
Visitor — A student seeking a degree from another college wishing to attend WKU for one term only.
Records needed: Transient permission form. (This form will be sent to you by the Office of Admissions upon receipt of the application and processing fee.) Letter of good standing may be submitted.
Prior to High School Graduation — A student who is still attending high school but who wishes to take a university course.
Records needed: An official high school transcript, ACT scores, if taken, and a letter from the high school guidance counselor approving student to take course.
