State Grant Programs
College Access Program (CAP) Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be an undergraduate and Kentucky resident.
- Attend a participating Kentucky college.
Award:
- Up to $1,900 per year for full-time students.
- $79 per credit hour for part-time students at semester-based schools.
- $53 per quarter hour for part-time students at quarter-based schools.

Kentucky Tuition Grant (KTG)
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be a full-time student and a Kentucky resident.
- Not already have a bachelor's degree.
- Attend a participating Kentucky private college.

Go Higher Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be a Kentucky resident and a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident.
- Be at least 24 years old.
- Be enrolled less than half-time.
- Attend a participating Kentucky college.

Federal Grant Programs
Federal Pell Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Not already have a bachelor's or higher degree (unless enrolled in a post-bachelor's teacher certificate program).

Academic Competitiveness Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be receiving a Pell Grant.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a full-time freshman or sophomore in college.
- Have been enrolled in a rigorous high school program if a freshman.
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA if a sophomore.
- Not already have a bachelor's or higher degree.
Award:
- Up to $750 per year for freshmen.
- Up to $1,300 per year for sophomores.

SMART Grant
Student must:
- Have financial need.
- Be receiving a Pell Grant.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be in the third or fourth year in college.
- Be enrolled full-time in a four-year degree-granting college.
- Be majoring in certain areas of math, science or foreign language.
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA in his or her major.

- Have exceptional financial need.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Not already have a bachelor's or higher degree.
