Students must submit an application and all required documents by the deadlines listed above to be considered for admission to the university.
Early application, well in advance of these deadlines, is highly recommended.
Application term: This online application and fees are term specific.
If you complete this application for a particular term and do not enroll for that term, a new application and fee must be submitted should you desire to be considered for admission to a later term.
Required readmission: Students who leave the university for a fall or spring semester must apply for readmission.
This policy applies to students who enroll and withdraw prior to the official first day of the semester.
Students who were enrolled for at least one day of the previous semester do not need to reapply and should contact the registration office at (859) 257-7173 for registration information.
Housing
Each student will receive housing information shortly after his/her offer of admission to the university.
In order to apply for housing, students must first be admitted.
University housing is assigned based on a first come, first served basis.
Because of demand, housing is not guaranteed.
There is a wide variety of housing available on north, central, and south areas of campus including eighteen residence halls and one apartment complex.
Many students take advantage of special interest housing located throughout the campus.
The University of Kentucky also offers nine month housing for students who need to remain on campus during academic breaks.

Financial Aid
The Office of Student Financial Aid administers awards of more than $120 million annually in financial aid funds to University of Kentucky students.
Funding from federal, state, and university financial aid programs is available to students who can demonstrate need for financial assistance.
Students who wish to be considered for need-based financial aid funds should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the federal processor by February 15 (freshmen).
Transfer students must file by April 1.
All aid is subject to availability of funds.
Eligible students who file after the above dates may receive less assistance because some funds will already be exhausted.
The FAFSA is available from your high school guidance office, or you can apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
The UK FAFSA code is 001989.
